Sharing my Experiences !
The 30-hour Famine is a global movement against hunger and poverty .
The event was locally organised by World Vision Malaysia, Sin Chew Daily and HELP University College
Each of the partcipants hace to fast for 30hours and I did it successfully :D
There are 140,000 participants this year
Their enthusiasm drew the admiration of Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein who launched the countdown.
Poverty does not look at race, religion, skin colour or whether you are from the rural or urban area.
We need to build the bridge to tackle poverty and strengthen unity in the spirit of 1Malaysia but the Government cannot do it alone
The event has raised RM1.15 mil for international and local projects.
These included The Street Children and Drop-In Centre projects in Myanmar; Factory Workers’ HIV/AIDS Education Project in China, and in Malaysia, the Shemariah Foster Home for Children, Beautiful Gate Foundation for the Disabled and the Sin Chew Foundation Retirement Village.
My Feeling !
I've fast for 30hours and get a glimpse of the dire conditions that children and families in need endure everyday.♥
This event has inspired and empower me to care for those in need,both locally and globally
We should all be very proud of what we have !
The 13th Famine 30 is awesomeee♥(i gotta feeling !! thas today gonna be a good day !!)
